Mada Lurae Stanger
June 3, 1934-March 23, 2026
Mada Lurae Waldron Stanger, 91, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026, surrounded by her family and those who loved and cared for her in her later years.
Mada was born on June 3, 1934, in Gwenford, Idaho, the fourth of eight children born to Nathaniel Acie Waldron and Leah Mary Chandler Waldron. She was raised in Gwenford and Samaria, Idaho, where she developed a strong work ethic and a lifelong commitment to faith, family, and service. She graduated from Malad High School.
She met the love of her life, Franklin Floyd Stanger, at her cousin’s wedding. At their introduction, Frank made it clear that he wanted to dance with her-and that single dance grew into a beautiful life together. Mada and Frank were married on September 23, 1955, in the Logan Utah Temple. They shared nearly 35 years of marriage centered on love, faith, and devotion to their family. Frank preceded her in death on May 8, 1990.
Later in life, Mada was blessed with companionship again and married Calvin Waters on May 15, 1992. Together, they shared years of friendship and support, and through this union, Mada continued her lifelong role of caring for and connecting family. Calvin also preceded her in death.
Mada was preceded in death by her husbands, Franklin Floyd Stanger and Calvin Waters; her parents, Nathaniel and Leah Waldron; her sisters, Phyllis Price and Helen Greene; and her brothers, Acie Waldron and James Waldron.
Mada and Frank were blessed with seven children, whom she loved deeply and supported endlessly: Marilyn Buelo (Dave), Lurae Stanger, Diane Mendenhall (Tim), David Stanger (Suzanne), Roger Stanger, Gary Stanger (Michelle), and Ronald Stanger (Cherrie). Her legacy continues through her 24 grandchildren, and 51 great-grandchildren, who brought her great joy.
Mada was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and lived her faith through quiet service, compassion, and unwavering devotion. She built a successful career in real estate with Child Real Estate, where she was known for her hard work, integrity, and commitment to those she served, but her greatest accomplishment was always her family. She was a loving mother, sister, and wife whose life was marked by kindness, strength, and a deep sense of purpose.
With grateful hearts, the family thanks the staff at Lotus Park Memory Care and A+ Hospice for the gentle care, kindness, and dignity they provided in her final years.
Mada’s life reflected her faith-steady, enduring, and full of purpose. She now returns to a joyful reunion with who have gone before her, including her beloved Frank, where we trust she has been welcomed home with open arms. Until we meet again, her legacy of love, service, and quiet strength will continue to guide those who knew her.
