Kenny Winters

Mar 31, 2026

With a heart as vast as the Uintah Mountains he so loved, Kenny J. Winters, known affectionately by his friends and family as KJ or Little Kenny, was a man of absorbing passions and boundless love for the outdoors. Kenny passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 30, 2026. Born on September 22, 1978, in Ogden, UT, Kenny lived a life rooted in the richness of his surroundings, soaking up the beauty of his home state and sharing it generously with those around him. His witty humor, smart insights, and loving nature made him a beacon of laughter and fond memories to all who knew him. Kenny was a gifted golfer, having lettered on the Weber High’s golf team in the 10th grade, a testament to his natural skill and dedication. His love for the outdoors didn’t stop at the fairways; his hobbies of hunting, fishing, riding four wheelers in the sand dunes, and shooting guns filled his life with adventurous pursuits. As a shipping/receiving manager at Metal West, he displayed his keen intellect and sharp wit, making a lasting impression on those he worked with. His love for music was infectious, often planning musical therapy car rides with his mom that were filled with joy and profound bonding. Kenny was a patriot at heart, his love for his country evident in his everyday life. Kenny is survived by his mother, Judy Pierce; father, Kenny (Kim) Winters; sister, Crystal (Justin) Woodruff; step-brothers, Colby and Austin Bone; sons, Trevan and Stratton Winters; brother-in-law, Justin Woodruff; niece, Makenlee Hansen; and nephew, Brax Woodruff. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marion and Retha Winters, Benjamin and Carla Pierce; and his cousins, Michael and Adam Winters. Kenny’s life was a testament to his love for the outdoors, his family, and his hobbies. His spirit will continue to live on in the memories of those who loved him.
