Gilbert will be remembered for his unwavering faith, incredible sense of humor, gift for storytelling, and deep love for his family. His soul thrived in the Uinta Mountains. He had a passion for gardening and grew award-winning tomatoes. He was a devoted fan of Elvis Presley and loved John Wayne movies.

Gilbert was a devoted member of St. James Catholic Church, where his faith was the cornerstone of his life.

On September 22, 1964, he married the love of his life, Wilma Ellen Reed, in Ogden, Utah.

After 45 years of dedicated service, Gilbert retired from the Defense Depot of Ogden.

He is survived by his six children: Gilbert Archuleta, Paige Reed, Vicky Archuleta, Kevin Archuleta, Lisa Jaramillo, and Reed Archuleta; six grandchildren: Chanel Ulrich, Rachel Fontenot, Madison Archuleta, Carter Archuleta, Elizabeth Archuleta, Alexander Archuleta, and Eric Archuleta; and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Emily Chavez.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Wilma Ellen Archuleta; his father, Juan Archuleta; his mother, Jesusita Archuleta; his brothers, Joe and Richard Archuleta; and his sister, Emily Korn.

Gilbert’s life was a testament to the beauty of family and the joy of laughter. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who love him.
