Boyd Kent Lindsey
Boyd Kent Lindsey passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026, in Ogden, Utah, surrounded by the people who loved him most. He was 86 years old.
Kent was born on February 24, 1940, in Price, Utah, to Jerome Boyd Lindsey and Edna Pressett Lindsey. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, he left behind a legacy of family, sacrifice, and unwavering love.
Kent proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1959 to 1962. His sense of duty, discipline, and commitment to others was a thread that ran through every chapter of his life.
Kent had a deep and abiding love for each of his children. He taught them lessons that they carried forward and passed down to their own sons and daughters — lessons rooted in a foundation of love and pride. No one was prouder than Kent when it came to his kids and grandkids.
He was also a friend whom many leaned on in times of need. Without hesitation, Kent would drop everything to show up for someone who needed him.
As a carpentry teacher, Kent worked with a challenging group of boys and changed lives through his craft. He instilled in them a sense of self-worth and taught them to take pride in what they built with their own hands. His “boys” always knew Mr. Lindsey loved them — and for many, that was everything.
Above all, Kent was a devoted husband to the love of his life, Linda. He cherished her with a love that few are fortunate enough to witness. He stood by her in wellness and in sickness, serving as her caregiver and her greatest cheerleader throughout her cancer journey, right up until his final days. Their love was beautiful — and it will carry on throughout eternity.
Kent was preceded in death by his father, Jerome Boyd Lindsey; his mother, Edna Pressett Lindsey; his brother, Brent Lindsey; his daughter, Tracy Dalton, and granddaughter, Kemry Ryland Smith.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Lindsey; his children: Teri Eppich (Mike), Toni Lindsey, Tricia Lindsey (Jimi), Travis Lindsey (Elisa), Tyler Lindsey (Kelly), Michelle Shimmin (Michele), Nicole Miles (Lance), Donelle Clough (Natalie), and Jared Dimick; 18 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
