Cathy Paulsen Stringham

May 15, 2026

January 8, 1949 – May 12, 2026

Richfield — “Cathy” Catherine Louise Paulsen Stringham, 77, of Richfield, passed away on May 12, 2026, after a valiant life marked by faith, resilience, and deep love for her family.

Cathy was born January 8, 1949, in Salt Lake City to Claron O. and Barbara G. Paulsen and was raised in Hooper with her six siblings. She graduated from Roy High School and briefly attended Utah State University. On April 1, 1971, she was married and sealed to her sweetheart, Brent W. Stringham, in the Logan Utah Temple.

Cathy was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and loved serving others throughout her life. Cathy impacted many lives and especially loved encouraging youth to have hope, recognize their worth, and look toward a brighter future.

Her greatest joy was always her family. She loved to laugh and be silly, and especially treasured time spent with her children and grandchildren, sharing her love of nature, books, music, geography, history, family history, and learning.

She is survived by her husband, Brent; her children Jenny (Jason) Hansen, Kimberly (Brian) Baker, Heidi Stringham, and Debbie (Clint) Rydalch; and her precious grandchildren: Brielle, Bryant, Brynnly, Michael, Nathan, Aubrey, Annabell, Logan, Baylee, and Brody. She is also survived by her cherished siblings, in-laws, and many dearly loved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Paul G. Paulsen; her son, Byron Stringham; and her grandson, Joshua Hansen.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor Cathy’s memory through a simple act of kindness — and asks AJ Dybantsa to stay in Utah.

A visitation will be held Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment at Hooper Cemetery will be held with family at a later date.

Starting at $4.32/week.
