Brent J. Larsen

May 22, 2026

Brent J. Larsen, husband of Bonalee Larsen, father, grandfather, brother, son and loved one to all, will truly be missed. Brent was born on August 19th,1954 in Ogden to Neil and Nora Larsen. When he was young, he spent many weekends hunting and fishing with his father, Neil, and grandfather, Floyd, or teasing his little sister, Michelle. His love for basketball started at a young age when he would play pickup games with his neighborhood friends and that passion carried on until the end. Brent graduated from Ben Lomond High School and attended Weber State University.

After serving a mission in Toronto, Canada, he met his eternal love, Bonalee Bolingbroke. They tied the knot in the Ogden Temple on June 18th, 1975. From that moment forward, he began a new chapter of his life with her, creating a loving family with 5 amazing children. Now the family has been expanded to 10 of the best children ever and 18 perfect grandchildren. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints having served in multiple capacities, including four bishoprics.

Brent spent many years working at Thiokol, managing hundreds of employees. While doing so, he contributed to the success of the first manned orbital flight of the Columbia Space Shuttle, working directly with the astronaut Robert (Bob) Crippen. After 28 years, he transitioned to starting and owning a business full time. Brent founded Larsen Digital Services, utilizing his passion for photography and love for new technology by digitizing old media. His intelligent business sense paved the way for his children to work from home, go to college, and support themselves in raising families of their own.

Brent loved spending time supporting local sports teams, especially the Utah Jazz and Weber State Basketball, being a well-loved sponsor and season ticket holder. When he wasn’t watching basketball, he was out camping in the Uintas with his family. He loved to photograph nature and take his Jeep off the beaten path, even when advised not to. While Brent enjoyed these hobbies, they were nothing without his family.

Brent is survived by his wife, Bonalee; children Jerame (Cindy “Thao”) Larsen, Taralee (Corey) Hamblin, Daniel (Chihiro) Larsen, Kristen (Tyson) Harding, Michael (Christa) Larsen; 18 grandchildren; one sister Michelle (Wayne) Sexton; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Neil and Nora Larsen.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the Ogden Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. with viewings at the mortuary Wednesday, May 27th from 6-8 pm and Thursday prior to services from 9:30-10:40 a.m. Interment will be at Plain City Cemetery.
