Lois Carol Foote Shribe

May 29, 2026

Our sweet mother, Lois Carol Foote Shriber, 88, was welcomed home into loving arms on May 23, 2026. She was born on Dec 7, 1937, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of James Lanell Foote and Martha Bernice Packer. She was raised in Brigham City where she loved Peach Days and was part of the 1956 Peach Days Royalty. She was a student body officer at Box Elder High School and her classmates are some of her dearest friends. Lois was really looking forward to her 70th class reunion this year.

Lois married Sonne Carl Shriber on Jan 4, 1957, in Brigham City, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.

Lois was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. She loved her Savior and reading her scriptures. We witnessed many miracles through her powerful prayers. She was a woman of great faith.

She was a talented artist and loved making paper dolls; she loved dancing and was an avid gardener who won several awards at the Weber County Fair. She loved being with her family, camping, attending the temple, and serving others.

Her great grandkids call her “Grandma Grape” because she loves purple. They loved her kindness, warm hugs, her cooking, spearmint tea, hot coco, no-bake cookies, and ice cream.

She is survived by five of her seven children; Bob (Tawny) Shriber; Sue (Brent) Heiner; Tammy (Gordon) Montgomery; Kathy (Kelly) Carver; Scott (Melissa) Shriber; one son-in-law Jesse (Nancy) Roundy, 28 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; and one brother Jim (Clo) Foote.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Sonne Carl Shriber; her son, Dean Carl Shriber; her daughter, Nancy Carol Shriber Roundy; her granddaughter, Katie Carol Montgomery; and one daughter-in-law, Linda Perkins Shriber.

We want to express gratitude to our extended family and friends, her ward family, and to all the staff that cared for and loved our sweet mom, and residents of the Auberge and Utah Hospice.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 5th at 11 a.m. at the West Weber LDS 3rd Ward Chapel, 900 South 4100 West. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the West Weber Cemetery.
