CarolAnn Gunderson March 8, 1945 – October 17, 2026
CarolAnn Gunderson was born in Brigham City, UT on March 8, 1945, to Laren W. and Mable Irene Balls. She died on October 17, 2026, due to complications of a fall and a necessary surgery. CarolAnn attended school in Brigham City and graduated from Box Elder High School. She worked throughout her life as a beautician, secretary, mother, and she retired from Box Elder County working in the county assessor’s office.
She married John. D. Gunderson on May 27, 1966, and they enjoyed 60 years together. Their marriage was solemnized in the Brigham City Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on June 21, 2016. They had three children; Valerie (Mark) Olsen, John Martin (Tracy) Gunderson, and Nicole (Jason) Jensen. They had 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. To her, the family was the most important and the highlight of her life.
She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, 1 sister, and 1 great-grandchild.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Brigham City 14th Ward, 650 Anderson Dr. Brigham City, UT. Visitations will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2026 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E. Brigham City, UT, and on Friday, October 23, 2026 from 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral at the church.
