Born May 16, 1951, in Richmond, Virginia, Dennis graduated from Weber High School in 1969. He married Colleen Smith on August 18, 1972, and they made their home in Roy, Utah.

Dennis worked in commercial glazing and enjoyed motorcycle hill climbing, camping, dirt biking, and goose hunting.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard L. and Lucille Murchison Spencer, and sister, Brenda Gail Brown.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 54 years, Colleen; daughter, Shauna Spencer (Jared Isakson); son, Dennis Craig Spencer (ShaRae); brother, Donald Spencer; grandchildren, Xandrii Spencer, Alaina Olsen, Lucy Isakson, Kenzie Pentz (Waylen), and Ryker Rich; and great-granddaughter, Willow Pentz.
