Friedlinde Hanna (Richter) Webb
February 10, 1935 – August 24, 2026
Friedlinde “Linde” Webb passed away on August 24, 2026, at the age of 91.
Linde was born February 10, 1935, in Germany and spent the first 25 years of her life in Bremerhaven. In 1959, she married Howard B. Webb Sr. Together, they moved to Enfield, Connecticut, and eventually made their way west to Tucson, Arizona, in 1974.
Her given name, Friedlinde, proved difficult for many to pronounce, so she became simply “Linde” to those who knew and loved her.
Linde was truly one of a kind, strong, stern, stubborn, fiercely independent and feisty. She wasn’t afraid to speak her mind, and you always knew where you stood. Underneath that tough German exterior was a woman who deeply loved her family and showed it in her own special way.
She loved cooking traditional German dishes for her family, keeping her heritage alive around the family table, and she was an avid reader. Linde spent more than 23 years working at Ghost Ranch Lodge in Tucson, where she developed lasting friendships and many wonderful memories.
Her final years were spent at The Lodge Assisted Living in North Ogden, Utah, where she enjoyed visiting with friends and playing bingo.
Linde was the mother of six children: Ute (John) Estes, Frank Richter, Howard (Vicki) Webb, Linda Navarro, Tom Webb (Stacey Cada), and Brenda Nelson (Dan “Buggs” Hayes). She was the proud grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Howard B. Webb Sr.; daughter-in-law, Vicki Webb; and grandson, Steven Webb.
Private family service will be held. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd., Ogden, Utah
Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Linde’s Life on September 12th at 1:00 p.m. at Spring Gardens Retirement Home, 204 E. 1700 N., North Ogden, to share memories and celebrate a life well lived.
