Reed lived a life full of love, laughter, friendship, hard work, and adventure. After 65 years of marriage, he is now reunited with the love of his life, his beloved wife, Sherran.

Reed was a successful business owner of Dayton Disposal, known for his strong work ethic, determination, and pride in everything he did. He loved sharing stories from his years in business, especially the many memorable stories about hauling garbage. Those stories, told with his own special humor and personality, became treasured memories for his family and friends.

Family was Reed’s greatest passion. He cherished his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and always made sure everyone knew how special they were. He will be remembered for his kind heart, loving words, stories, laughter, and the countless memories he created with those he loved.

Reed enjoyed golfing, fishing, camping, hunting, gardening, raising racehorses, and most of all, spending time with family and friends.

Reed leaves behind his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, two sisters, extended family, and many cherished friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sherran; his grandson, Brendon; his parents; his brother; and many other beloved family members and friends.

Reed’s greatest legacy is the love he gave so freely. He made sure everyone around him knew they mattered, and that love will live on through the generations.

Rest peacefully, Reed. You are deeply loved, you will be greatly missed, and your stories, laughter, and love will forever remain in our hearts.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 3 p.m. at the Ogden City Cemetery. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Crane Field Golf Course, 3648 West Cranefield Road, Clinton, Utah

In lieu of flowers, go play a round of golf in Reed’s memory.
