Bob was born January 31, 1934, in Ogden, Utah, to Thomas L. and Mabel Edvalson Draper. He was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many ward and stake callings. As a Scoutmaster, he helped 23 Scouts earn the rank of Eagle Scout and enjoyed several trips to Lake Powell with the Scouts and their families. Bob and his eternal companion also served four missions for the Church. Throughout his working life, Bob was employed by the O.U.R. & D. Railroad and Utah Power & Light. He also worked as a Realtor and schoolteacher, owned many apartment buildings, and operated the Montgomery Ward catalog franchises in Ogden and Logan. He graduated from Weber State University with dual bachelor’s degrees.

Bob built and refurbished homes as a hobby. He enjoyed traveling, especially when the journey gave him an opportunity to visit family. His family was everything to him.

He is survived by his wife, Emma Lu; their children, Krista (Dan) Dosher of Oregon, Rockland (LaNett) Draper of Farmington, Shauna (Dean) Wheelwright of Missouri, Lance (Lori) Draper of Texas, Bryce (Jill) Draper of Ogden, Kent (Alisa) Draper of Farmington, and Melinda (Tom) West of Ogden; 23 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held Saturday, September 12, from 9:00 to 10:15 a.m. at the Waterfall Canyon Ward, 3254 Polk Avenue, Ogden, Utah 84403. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. and will be conducted by Bishop Nathan Starley. Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch Cemetery in Uintah.
