Donna was born on June 26, 1946, in Roosevelt, Utah, to Albert G. Marchant and Dorothy Maud Foley. Growing up in Roosevelt, Donna loved riding horses and spent much of her childhood on horseback. From an early age, she was a natural caretaker, helping to look after her siblings and care for her family. She also spent a great deal of time in the kitchen cooking and baking. She became especially known for her homemade bread, pie crusts, and pies, with lemon meringue being her favorite.

Donna and Keith’s love story began in a much simpler time, long before cell phones and social media, when young people from Ogden and the surrounding communities spent their evenings cruising Washington Boulevard. It was there that Donna and Keith met, and for them, it was love at first sight. They married young and not long after meeting, beginning what would become a beautiful life together.

Donna married the love of her life, Keith Kenley, on September 12, 1962. Eleven years later, on September 12, 1973, they were sealed together for time and all eternity. Donna and Keith were happily married for 54 years and together raised their five children, Brent, Janice, Scott, Albert, and Kimberly. Their marriage and the family they built together remained an important part of Donna’s life long after Keith’s passing in 2016.

Donna carried the same hardworking and caring nature she developed as a young girl throughout her adult life. She worked as a waitress at the Union Stockyards in West Ogden, where she became well known by those around her.

Donna later found a natural talent for sales, working at Nordstrom and Dillard’s. At Dillard’s, her ability to connect with people and her strong work ethic earned her recognition as a top saleswoman for consecutive years. She later continued her career at RC Willey, where she again distinguished herself as a top salesperson. Donna was highly motivated and took pride in what she did, qualities that were evident throughout her life.

Her love for horses never left her. Donna was passionate about riding and showing horses, and she devoted herself wholeheartedly to something when she loved it. Horses remained a special part of who she was and connected her to the childhood she cherished in Roosevelt.

As much as Donna enjoyed her work and her horses, some of her greatest happiness came from simply being with her family. She loved traveling with Keith, and one of their favorite vacations was traveling to California to spend time with their daughter and grandchildren. For Donna, being surrounded by the people she loved was what mattered most.

Christmas held an especially special place in Donna’s heart. It was her favorite time of year, and she loved filling her home with the spirit of the season. Decorating her Christmas tree was a tradition all its own. Her tree was famously grand–nearly as big as the room it stood in–and was a reflection of just how much she loved Christmas and making the holidays special for her family.

Above all else, Donna loved her family. She treasured the thoughtful things her children did for her, both big and small. One memory she especially loved was when her son Brent surprised her by bringing home a new car just in time to replace her old one. Donna was delighted and proudly said her new car made her feel “so high class and sophisticated.” It was a simple moment that became a treasured family memory and captured Donna’s personality and her appreciation for the things her children did to make her feel special.

Donna’s family continued to grow throughout her life, eventually blessing her with 16 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Being surrounded by generations of family was a testament to the life she and Keith began building together so many years before.

Donna leaves behind a legacy rooted in family, love, hard work, determination, and devotion to those she cared about. Her family will remember the woman who loved horses, worked hard, treasured time with those closest to her, looked forward to Christmas each year, and found joy in the moments that made her feel loved and special.

Donna is survived by her children, Brent Kenley (Jocelyn); Scott Kenley (Amy); Albert Steven Kenley (Amanda); and Kimberly Morris (Derek); her son-in-law, David Harris; and her 16 grandchildren, Kyle Blackburn (Jennifer), Christina Ercanbrack (Cole), Raquel Holyoak (Marc), Kristopher Holyoak (Janet), Nicollette Cubbage (Bradley), Sydney Harris, Taylor Kenley (Madison), Courtney VanderVeen (Jacob), Cole Kenley (Alexis), Kaitlyn Buttars (Josh), Ashton McLelland (Todd), Mackenna Hodgson (Jaden), Kylie Kenley, Violet Wright (Kolbe), Sage Wright, and Kenley Morris. Her legacy continues through her 24 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Ralph Marchant, Lynn Marchant, Linda Blair, and Carol Morrice.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Keith Kenley; her daughter, Janice K. Harris; her parents, Albert G. Marchant and Dorothy Maud Foley; and her siblings, Richard, Kay, Matt, Bill, Mark, John, Dorothy, and Joyce.

Donna’s family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to hospice, Donna’s doctors, and everyone who lovingly cared for her during the final years of her life. The family is especially grateful to Linda Blair, Amanda Gallegos, Derek Morris, Kimberly Morris, and Albert Kenley, whose unwavering devotion, compassion, and countless acts of kindness brought Donna comfort, companionship, and dignity throughout her journey.

The time, sacrifices, and loving care given to Donna by each of these individuals will always be remembered and deeply cherished by her family.

Friends may visit with family on Friday, September 25, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. A private graveside service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m.at Aultorest Memorial Park.

Donna will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the love, laughter, and memories she shared with those fortunate enough to know her.
