Donna worked as a school secretary for the Ogden School District and was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many callings, including Relief Society, Primary, and as a church librarian. She loved her community and was a grandmother to many in her neighborhood.

Donna loved cooking and baking, and her family will always remember her chocolate chip cookies. She loved gardening and growing vegetables, which she often canned and shared with others. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and quilting, playing the piano, watching the birds, taking drives up the canyon, and wading in the water. In her younger years, she loved to square dance with her husband, Max, with whom she shared 67 years of marriage.

Donna was kind and caring, with a strong personality and never hesitated to speak her mind. More than anything, she loved her family and her home. Her home was a place where generations could gather, be fed, be loved, and be safe. She had a gift for making everyone who entered feel welcome, cared for, and important.

Donna was the mother of two daughters, Karen Adams Yonemura (Doug) and Bonnie Adams, grandmother of three grandsons, Jason Kay, Brandon Kay(Mandy), Brian Steffen(Rebecca), great-grandmother of eight, and great-great-grandmother of four.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George “Max” Adams, and her grandson, Brandon Kay.

Donna’s greatest gift was making people feel cared for. Her absence will be felt in all the places she made home.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday September 22 at Ogden City Cemetery.
