LuDean Smith Hugie of Mountain Green will be honored on her 80th birthday at a family dinner given by her children at the Maddox Ranch House Restaurant in Brigham City.?Born on Dec. 1, 1929, in Hyrum, the daughter of LaVon Alva and Ruby Mauchley Smith, she is the second child of four children. Her siblings are LaRae Jorgenson, Joy Smith (deceased), and Estle Smith.?She went to Lincoln Elementary School and in 1947 graduated from South Cache High School.?She married Fred John Hugie on Aug. 4, 1947, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Logan Temple. He died in 2004.?Her children and their spouses are: Jon and Karen Hugie, Glenda and Larry Pentz, Terry (deceased) and Shanna Hugie, LuAnn and Joseph Pentz, Tresa and Tony Jones, Kim and Kathy Hugie, Denise and Wayne Price, Paul and Paulette Hugie (deceased), and Dave and Heidi Hugie. ?She has 34 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
