Alice K. Kennedy celebrated her 90th birthday with family members at a special dinner on Saturday, Nov. 14. In attendance were her two daughters, Carolyn and Gordon Affleck, Deanne and Don Jenks, her son Dennis and Rita Kennedy, eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and her brother, Ron and Beth Kellogg. She has a sister, Donna and Jack Daggs and also has 10 additional grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.?She was the oldest of four children born to Phillip Malcolm and Ivy Caroline Jensen Kellogg on Nov. 17, 1919, in Salt Lake City. She lived most of her young life in the Washington, D.C. area, which is where she met and married the love of her life, Steve Muir Kennedy on Sept. 21, 1940. He died Nov. 9, 2005.?She has served in many capacities in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She has always strived to serve those in need. Her family says her smile, gift of gab and overwhelming sense of humor has touched many lives.
