Wanda Elsie Blackner of Layton will celebrate her 90th birthday with family and friends on Dec. 14.?Born on Dec. 14, 1919, in Carter, Wyo., she is the first daughter of Ralph and Elsie Harvey. She is also a big sister to three brothers and a sister. ?She married her sweetheart Ray Blackner. They were married for 70 years before he died. They enjoyed dancing at local dances and spending time with their friends in the timbers of the Uinta Mountains. They moved to Layton in 1958. ?Her children and their spouses are Eloise and David Weaver, twins Byron Blackner and Blaine Blackner (both deceased), Tyler and Kathy Blackner, and Colin and Christie Blackner.?She enjoys reading and spends most of her days with a good book. She enjoys her 14 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
