Riverdale couple married 70 years?

Edd and Leanore “Lee” Sparrow Lesley of Riverdale celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary with family.?They were married on Aug. 18, 1939, in Midvale.?He was born on Sept. 6, 1917, to Andrew Lesley and Bessie Mobley in Gideon, Mo.?She was born on March 22, 1921, to Parley C. Sparrow and Katie Henstrom in Ogden.?He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for 37 years, retiring on Jan. 9, 1979. He designed and built one of the first mobile home parks in Ogden. He also built and operated a travel trailer park. He and his wife built and managed Lesley’s Mobile Home Park for 41 years. She volunteered at McKay Hospital for more than 16 years.?Both enjoy spending time with their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.?Their children and their spouses are Jean and Bill Baxter (both deceased); Bob and Bonnie Marshall, West Haven; David and Vickie Lesley, West Weber; and Greg and Taunya Lesley, Joplin, Mo.?They have 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
