Golden Frank Marble of Ogden will celebrate his 80th birthday on Aug. 31. Family and friends may attend an open house in his honor from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Aug 28 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Waterfall Canyon Ward, 3254 Polk Ave., in Ogden.?He was born on Aug. 31, 1930, in central Utah. He is the eighth of 10 children and attended Weber County schools. ?He enjoys bowling and fishing and is active in his church.?Some of his church callings have been a counselor in the bishopric, ward clerk and high priests leader. He is currently an ordinance worker in the Ogden LDS Temple.?He retired from the Southern Pacific Railroad after 38 years of service.?He married Gloria Morgan on Sept. 18, 1947; they were later divorced.?He then married Joyce Young Brown on Feb. 6, 1985.?His children are Richard and Joyce Marble, Helen and Ralph Lutz, Ronald and LeAnne Marble, Dan and Kat Marble, Cherie Marble, Kelly and Lori Marble, Christina Horton, and Mike and Kim Marble. He has 22 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
