South Ogden couple celebrates 70 years?

Howard L. and Winona P. Robinson of South Ogden celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary at an open house held at The George E. Wahlen Center.?They were married on Dec. 10, 1940, in Lewiston. Their vows were later solemnized in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Logan Temple. ?He was born Jan. 22, 1919, in Franklin, Idaho, to P.L. and Lillie Robinson. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 33 years. His interests included his garden, yard, home and golfing. ?She was born March 7, 1922, in Lewiston to Raymond and Florence Preece. She retired from First Security Bank after 25 years. Her interests included her home, quilting and cross stitching. She is a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.?Both are active in the LDS Church and served as ordinance workers in the Ogden LDS Temple. They enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren.?Their children and spouses are Peggy and Kirk Johansen, and Joyce and Lloyd Davis.?They have four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.?
