Chester Harold “Chet” Leete of Hooper will celebrate his 80th birthday with his family today, Jan. 24.?He was born on Jan. 24, 1930, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to Harold and LeEttia Leete. He moved to Ogden in 1945 and served in the U.S. Army for two years. He was a motor pool sergeant in Korea for 13 months.?He attended Weber State College and married Norma Joyce Talbot on April 11, 1953, in Elko, Nev. Their vows were solemnized in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Ogden Temple in May 1978.?He worked for Northern Utah Glass and Hill Air Force Base, retiring in 1993. He still enjoys putting in windows and doors.?He enjoys spending time with his family.?His children are Vickie and Mike Marriott, Cheryl and Junior Sayama, Keb and Mary Anne Leete, and Barry Leete.?He also has 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and four more great-grandchildren on the way.
