Cliff and Natalie Betten of Roy will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with their family at Taggart’s Grill in Morgan on Sunday, March 21.?They were married on March 17, 1960, in Pocatello, Idaho. They have lived their married life in Utah. He was raised on a farm in Aplington, Iowa; and she was raised on a farm near Kalispell, Mont.?He worked for Defense Depot Ogden for 30 years, retiring in 1996. He has worked at odd jobs since then, the last one was 10 years of hauling mail out of the main post office in Ogden. He now spends his time playing with his “toys.” He owns a 1930 Model A Ford Coupe, enjoys riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and working on his “honey do’s.” ?She is employed with Avon Products Inc. and is working on year 39 with them. She has decided it will probably be a lifetime career.?In their 50 years of marriage, they have built their own home and garage, remodeled their barns and built a workshop. In the last eight years, they have been building a cabin in the Monte Cristo area. With the last trim board put in place last summer, they are going to start just relaxing.?Their children and their spouses are Christine and Byron Weaver, and Cliff Betten Jr. They have three grandchildren: Elizabeth and John Miley, Christopher and Crystal Ross, and Joshua Betten. They also have one great-grandchildren: Izabella Rose Miley.
