Jack M. Combe of Pleasant View was honored by family and friends with a celebration of his 80th birthday at the Maddox Ranch House Restaurant.?He is the fifth child of nine, born in Ogden on March 11, 1930, to Jule Combe Sr. and Laura Parker Combe.?Ogden has always been his home, and he graduated from Ogden High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked for 37 years with Superior Sheet Metal before his retirement. ?He married Vonda Sue “Bonnie” Perkins in 1958. She died in 2002.?His children are Curt Combe of Roy, and Cathy LaRose of Farr West. He also has two grandchildren and two great-granddaughters. ?He enjoys building anything from pack saddles to picture frames and everything in between, gardening and cooking.?He is now married to the former Montie Kay Fickle.
