Spendlove
Daisy J. Spendlove of Roy will celebrate her 80th birthday at 2 p.m. on April 30 at Golden Hours Senior Center in Ogden.?She was born on April 25, 1931, in Gillespie, Ill., to George and Lula Shuey. She married Orem Dean Spendlove on Feb. 24, 1958, in Pomona, Calif.?She was raised in Gillespie and graduated from Gillespie Community High School in 1949. She attended Alton Memorial Hospital, where she received training to become a registered nurse. She graduated from nursing school in 1952. She enjoyed being a nurse, working at many hospitals in Illinois, California and Utah. ?She has volunteered at senior centers in Mission Vejo, Calif.; and Utah. She says she has traveled all over, went where she wanted to go and did what she wanted to do.?Her children and spouses are Mike and Shirley Burr, La Habra, Calif.; Tina and Ken Reeder, Roy; and David and Melanie Spendlove, Auburn, Calif. ?She has seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
