Robert E. Christofferson celebrated his 90th birthday with his family. ?He was born on July 23, 1921, in Ogden, a son of Joseph Ray and Florence Oberg Christofferson. He graduated from Weber High School, attended Weber College and the University of Utah’s electrical school. He served during World War II with the Army Air Corps as an aircraft electrical shop chief and aircraft crew chief in North Africa and Europe.?He married Ruth Rhees of Pleasant View.?He enjoys fishing, farming, gardening and going south in the winter with his wife. ?His children and their spouses are Robert R. and Jane Butler Christofferson, David E. and Jeanne Christofferson, Ann Shupe and Janet Christofferson. He has 10 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren with one more on the way.?He retired from Hill Air Force Base as productin line supervisor, and traveled extensively for the Air Force.?He has served in various volunteer committees in North Ogden, such as Kiwanis Club president, North Bench Pipe Line, a member of Parks and Trails, American Legion Post No. 9, American Vets Democratic Party offices, etc.?He says, “It has been a good life and ride. I would do it again if I could have the same girl.”
