Landon ?

Marian Sorensen Landon of Ogden celebrated her 80th birthday at a patio party with family and friends on Saturday, July 9, at the Brechbill home in North Ogden.?She was born July 5, 1931, to Danish immigrants Marius and Jenny Sorensen. She was born in the United States but was raised in Denmark until the age of 15 when the family returned in 1947, living in Iowa, Colorado, and settling in Utah in 1962.?She met and married the love of her life, Robert Landon, in 1950 while working as a nanny in Denver. He died in 1988. Through the years, she was a caretaker of children and of the elderly along with being a wife and mother.?Her hobbies include square dancing at the Golden Hours Center, playing cards with her friends, gardening, baking and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.?She is a member of Elim Lutheran Church.?Her children and their spouses are Robert Jr. and Cheryl Landon, Clearfield; Sharon and Bill Brechbill, North Ogden; and Michael and Tami Landon, West Haven.?She has nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
