Francese Hunsaker Dowdle will celebrate her 80th birthday on July 1 with a dinner at the Maddox Ranch House Restaurant. Her family will honor her at an open house from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 2, at her home, 234 E. 100 South, Willard.?She was born to Jacob Lloyd and Esther Hansen Hunsaker on July 1, 1931, in Tremonton.?She married LeRoy Dowdle on Feb. 27, 1955. She and her husband enjoyed camping with family and friends. Much time was spent at the cabin they built together in Fruitland. He died on Sept. 28, 2003.?She worked for many years at ZCMI in Ogden.?Her children are Kris and Lynn Zundel, Willard; Nancy and Larry Whitaker, Brigham City; Liz Warden and Mike Radabaugh, Willard; Linda Andrews, North Ogden; and Allen and Shelly Dowdle, Farr West. She has 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.?She has one sister and one brother: BoDell Benson, West Valley City; and Bill Hunsaker, Montana.?She is an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she has held many positions.?She enjoys reading, crocheting, traveling and playing cards. She belongs to several card clubs. She enjoys spending time at her cabin and riding her four-wheeler.
