Frank Martin Anderson of Milton celebrated his 80th birthday at a family party on Oct. 7.?He was born Oct. 7, 1931, to Wesley V. and Helen Brown Anderson in Ogden. He graduated from Morgan High School and Weber State College and attended Boys’ State in 1949. He was a member of his family’s orchestra and played for many functions. He played tenor saxophone in the Morgan High School band and Weber State College. A member of a barbershop chorus, he performed in Ogden and Salt Lake City, and enjoyed harmony singing. He was a member of Milton & Morganaires Barbershop Quartet, winning the best barbershop quartet contest at the Utah State Fair.?He married Lois Dickson Dec. 10, 1952, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Salt Lake Temple. He served in the Army near the Korean DMZ front lines. ?A mechanic, he worked as a service manager for many automobile agencies. He retired from Hill Air Force Base after 22 years, maintaining heavy diesel vehicles.?He enjoys maintaining his yard, vegetable and flower gardens, and being a handyman.?He has served in many LDS Church callings. He and his wife served a mission to South Houston and served as ordinance workers in the Ogden LDS Temple.?His children and spouses are John Martin and Camille Anderson, Jeanette and (Edward deceased) VanBeekum, Mary Lynn and Gene Done, Diana and Gregory Noland, Laurie and Elmont Bingham, and Carolyn and Shawn Kendall. He has 25 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren with three on the way.
