Janet Mahoskey of North Ogden celebrated her 80th birthday with her family on Sept. 1. ?She was born Sept. 1, 1931, in Detroit to Onnie and Zaidee Ecola. The family later moved to Tacoma, Wash., where she was raised. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Tacoma.?She married Robert “Bob” Mahoskey on May 3, 1952. They celebrated 58 years together. He died Dec. 14, 2010.?They had five children: Neal James Mahoskey (deceased); Robert and Judy Mahoskey, Murray; Gloria and Dennis Martinez, Hayden, Colo.; Chuck Mahoskey and Lynn Hills, North Ogden; and Nancy and Lew Hansen, South Weber. She has 20 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.?She is an active member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, has led various organizations over the years, is a member of the Women’s Group and was the organist for more than 33 years.
