Easter egg hunts occurring in Weber-Davis area beginning this week

Easter Sunday is less than two weeks away — it falls on March 31, to be exact. As such, thousands of eggs will be up for grabs at Easter egg hunts and other holiday-themed events in the Ogden area beginning this weekend.

In an effort to serve families looking for the event nearest to them, the Standard-Examiner has compiled a list of egg hunts and events around Weber and Davis counties.

Here’s a roundup of some of the hunts happening locally, along with the information that has been released about each.

SOUTH OGDEN: The South Ogden City Easter Bunny Spring Fling will be held from 9-11 a.m. Saturday at City Hall (3950 Adams Ave.).

LAYTON: Layton City’s annual Easter egg dive will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon at the Surf n’ Swim for the cost of $3 per child under the age of 14. Parents must register online at https://www.laytoncity.org/LC/Recreation.

HILL AIR FORCE BASE: Hill Aerospace Museum’s annual museumwide scavenger Easter egg hunt will be held March 29 and March 30 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 7961 Cottonwood Road. Admission is free and children 16 and under that find 10 eggs can turn in their code words for a candy bar.

Those finding all 20 eggs and their code words will be entered into a drawing to win a gift basket.

OGDEN: Weber State University’s Swenson Pool (1435 Village Drive) will be hosting its 12th annual egg dive on March 29 (family dives; $25-$30 per family) and March 30 (traditional dives; $7 per child, with a $2 price increase on March 27).

Families must select their times in advance for Friday, while check-in for Saturday’s event will begin at 11:30 a.m. Participants must register by the afternoon of March 29 at https://weber.edu/aquatics/eggdive.html.

SOUTH WEBER: South Weber City’s annual Easter egg hunt will take place at Canyon Meadows Park (631 E. Peterson Parkway) on March 29 with a siren sounding at 6 p.m. to officially kick off the hunt. The hunt will be split into five different age groups. There also will be food trucks and other activities at the event.

FARR WEST: Farr West City will hold its 2024 Easter egg hunt at Mountain View Park (1500 N. 1700 West) on March 30 beginning at 9 a.m. The hunt is open to residents of Farr West age 12 and under.

NORTH OGDEN: The 2024 North Ogden Kiwanis Club Annual Easter Egg Hunt will begin at 9 a.m. March 30 at North Ogden Park (2750 N. 500 East). The event is for children age 9 and under.

PLAIN CITY: Plain City’s Easter egg hunt will be held at Lee Olsen Park (approximately 4100 W. 2200 North) near the City Office and Fire Station on March 30 at 9 a.m. Age groups will be: 0-3, 4-5, 6-7 and 8-9.

There also will be an audible egg hunt for youth with disabilities, including those who are visually impaired.

UINTAH: The Uintah City annual Easter egg hunt will be held March 30 beginning at 9 a.m. at Uintah City Park (2105 E. 6550 South).

WEST HAVEN: The West Haven City Youth Council will host the city’s annual Easter egg hunt at R. Kenneth Baldwin Country Park (2850 W. 3300 South) on March 30 at 9 a.m. Lucky eggs found to have a number inside can be turned in at the bowery for a special prize. Age groups include children 1-3, 4-6, 7-9 and 10-12.

SYRACUSE: The Syracuse City Easter egg hunt will be held March 30 at Founders Park (1700 S. 1904 West) at 10 a.m.; there will be an Easter Bunny meet-and-greet at 9:30 a.m.

The event is for children 11 and under, with the following age groups: 0-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-11 and adaptive. Attendees are advised to bring a basket/bag to collect eggs.

CLEARFIELD: Clearfield City will be holding two Easter egg hunts on March 30 at 10 a.m.: one at Bernard Fisher Park (934 S. 1000 East) and one at Steed Park (300 N. 1000 West). Sections at both parks will be designated by age groups 0-3, 4-6 and 7-10. Fisher Park also will have a section for those with disabilities.

There also will be egg dives at the Clearfield Aquatic and Fitness Center (825 S. State St.) on the same day at 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. for children 6 months to 12 years. Registration information can be found at https://clearfield.city/events. The sessions for children 0-4 are currently at capacity with open wait lists.

CLINTON: Clinton City’s Easter egg walk is March 30 and will run from 10-11 a.m., or until all eggs are gone, at Civic Center Park (1651 W. 2300 North).

HARRISVILLE: Harrisville Parks and Recreation will be holding an Easter egg hunt for children age 11 and under March 30 at the Harrisville City Park (1350 N. Highway 89) beginning at 10 a.m. Easter baskets/bags will not be provided.

MARRIOTT-SLATERVILLE: There will be an Easter egg hunt on March 30 at Slaterville Park (250 N. 2250 West) beginning at 10 a.m.

PLEASANT VIEW: There will be an Easter candy grab at Pleasant View Park (947 W. Pleasant View Drive) on March 30 at 10 a.m. Attendees are encouraged to come early to visit and take a picture with the Easter Bunny.

RIVERDALE: Riverdale’s Youth City Council will be holding its annual Easter egg hunt at Riverdale Park (4850 S. 600 West) beginning at 10 a.m. March 30.

ROY: Roy City’s annual Easter egg hunt will be held at George E. Wahlen Park (4200 S. 2175 West) on March 30 at 10 a.m. The age groups are as follows: 0-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-9, 10-12 and special needs children.

SUNSET: The Sunset City Easter egg hunt with the Easter Bunny is taking place at Sunset Central Park (85 W. 1800 North) on March 30 at 10 a.m. North Davis Fire District will be there to start off the event with their firetruck siren.

WASHINGTON TERRACE: The city’s 2024 Easter egg hunt will be held March 30 at 10 a.m. at Rohmer Park (5175 S. 600 West). The egg-hunting activity is limited to children age 12 and under.

WEST POINT: West Point’s annual Easter egg hunt is being held at Loy Blake Park (550 N. 3500 West) on March 30 at 10 a.m. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to find their respective age groups.
