OGDEN — While the epicenter of the First Friday Art Stroll has been, and remains, downtown Ogden, the Newgate Mall will be a major hub of arts activities during the August iteration.

According to a press release from Ogden City Arts regarding the upcoming event — set for Friday from 6-9 p.m. — the Newgate Mall will be a featured destination.

“This month, Newgate Mall is becoming an increasingly vibrant hub during the Art Stroll, featuring talented creatives in jewelry design, 3D art, and local authors showcasing their work,” the release said. “With new stops and fresh perspectives, the Art Stroll is the perfect way to experience Ogden’s thriving arts scene while supporting local artists and makers.”

One of those stops at the mall will be Cornel’s Book Nook with a pop-up featuring Wizards Forge 3D Printing.

“Wizards Forge specializes in prints of dragons, dinosaurs, fidgets, event fixtures, and can create custom orders of almost anything you can dream up,” the release said. “As part of Cornel’s Book Nook’s Harry Potter birthday celebration, Wizards Forge will be showcasing their wizard, dragon, and Harry Potter-themed designs.”

Additionally, Sister’s Furniture & Home Décor will feature an appearance by artist Heidi Goucher. Eborn Books will feature authors Dan and Robert Zangari.
