Netflix streaming fake New Year’s Eve countdown for kids
The age-old battle for families on New Year’s Eve is deciding who gets to stay up to watch the ball drop.
But now Netflix is here to help.
Netflix has created six brief, child-themed New Year’s Eve countdown shows available to stream at any point on Dec. 31, allowing families to ring in a fake new year and then put the kids to bed.
Story continues below video.
Fortune reports the streaming service surveyed 9,000 parents and found about half hold a countdown for their kids around 9 p.m. The selection of countdown shows gives parents new options to accomplish that feat.
Each show is hosted by characters from popular kids programming and run one to three minutes. The six options are:
- King Julien
- Mr. Peabody & Sherman
- Care Bears & Cousins
- Puffin Rock
- Inspector Gadget
- Project MC-squared
