OGDEN — Mark your calendar to watch a free screening of ”Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark,” the first of the three Indiana Jones adventures concocted by Steven Spielberg and George Lucas.

The event is from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, at Peery’s Egyptian Theater, 2415 Washington Blvd.

This 1981 action-adventure film follows Indiana Jones on a quest for the Ark of the Covenant before the Nazis get it. The film stars Harrison Ford, Karen Allen and John Rhys-Davies.

Folks may enjoy the sounds of the Mighty Wurlitzer pipe organ at 6:30 p.m. along with a free popcorn and drink at the movie.

• “Hocus Pocus” (1993, PG) 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31. Filling the town with mayhem on Halloween night, three witch sisters are resurrected in Salem, Mass., while a group of children try to end their reign of terror. Enjoy the talents of Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy at the Weber County Library’s Ogden Valley branch, 131 S. 7400 East, Huntsville.

• “The Nightmare Before Christmas” (1993, PG) 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31. Halloweentown’s beloved pumpkin king gets a new lease on life as he tries to take over Christmastown by kidnapping Santa Claus and assuming his role. You can check out this Halloween-Christmas combo at the Pleasant Valley branch, 5568 Adams Ave. Parkway, Washington Terrace.

• “Eat, Pray, Love” (2010, PG-13) 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2. Following a painful divorce, a woman takes a journey around the world in a quest for self-discovery. You can watch this film based on Elizabeth Gilbert’s best-selling memoir of the same name at the North branch, 475 E. 2600 North, Ogden.

• “Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead” (1990, PG) 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3. This comedy-drama film follows two minor characters from the play “Hamlet,” who seem to be going in circles, oblivious of their scripted lives and unable to escape them. Don’t miss Shakespeare’s tragedy playing out in the background at the Ogden Valley branch

• “Selma” (2014, PG-13) 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4. Portrays a factual account of the campaign of Martin Luther King Jr. to obtain equal voting rights via a legendary march in 1965 from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama. Nominated for Best Picture and winner of Best Original Song at the 87th Academy Awards, the film plays at the Pleasant Valley branch.
