CENTERVILLE — Anyone familiar with Buddy the Elf knows the best way to spread Christmas cheer: “Singing loud for all to hear.”

And the second-best way?

Watching “Elf, The Musical,” of course.

The musical based on the 2003 film starring Will Ferrell will be presented Nov. 23-Dec. 22 on the Barlow Main Stage at CenterPoint Legacy Theatre, 525 N. 400 West.

“Elf, The Musical” tells the story of Buddy, an orphan child who crawls into Santa’s bag one Christmas Eve and is accidentally carried back to the North Pole. There, he’s raised by elves, and eventually goes in search of his human father and helps New York City remember the true meaning of Christmas.

The play runs Mondays through Saturdays at the theater. Tickets are $19.50 to $27, available through www.centerpointtheatre.org or by calling 801-298-1302.
