On Sept. 10, Maj. Gen. Andrew Busch, Ogden Air Logistics Center commander, sponsored an Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Outreach visit. Herb Gibson, OSHA Region VIII director, and Chris Lorenzo, OSHA Region VIII assistant director, toured the base and observed processes such as aircraft production and cleaning. “The visit was a huge success,” said Lt. Col. Jeff Zemke, 75th Air Base Wing chief of safety. “OSHA was impressed with our safety and occupational health management. We are upholding OSHA’s standards for cleanliness and continuously looking for ways to make it better,” Zemke said of the visit, which also included a technical briefing presented to base senior leadership by the OSHA representatives.
