Runners note their time as they begin the Combined Federal Campaign Fun Run on Sept. 24. The event was held as a way to promote fitness and also to extend an opportunity to contribute. The official Kick Off event will be at the Landing on Wednesday, Oct. 2,  11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., with several nonprofits and charities in attendance.  It will be a great way to get information and choose a way to contribute.  (Alex R.
