The full Northern Utah calendar of events is on L4, but here are three local events you should check out this week:
1. Dinos in the Dark
Ogden Dinosaur Park and Museum, Ogden, Oct. 18, 23-25, 6-9 p.m.
Get some scary vibes by heading over to the Ogden Dinosaur Park and Museum for the classic Dinos in the Dark experience. The park’s website says, “Get ready for a spine-chilling adventure filled with eerie surprises and mysterious creatures! Dinos in the dark is a timed ticketing Halloween event where guests of all ages will embark on a night of thrills, featuring Trick or Treating, Bigfoot and Cryptids and Haunted Paths.”

2. Ogden Musical Theatre presents: Dracula

It’s the time of year where tales of vampires come to life. Check out one of the originals by heading to Peery’s Egyptian Theatre. The website says: “After a successful run in 2024, Dracula is back! Ogden Musical Theatre is thrilled to present a haunting and immersive production of Dracula, adapted by Jennifer Westfall from Bram Stoker’s iconic novel. This spine-chilling play will take audiences on a journey into the dark and eerie world of Count Dracula, featuring an atmospheric set inspired by the silent film era with monochrome visuals, deep disturbing music, and a Gothic ambiance that heightens the horror.”

3. Whispers in the Dark
465 N Wasatch Dr., Layton, Oct. 18, 3-9 p.m.
October is a great time for some scary stories and so Layton will be a great place to be on Oct. 18. The city website says, “Join us on Saturday, October 18th, from 3:00 – 9:00 PM for an enchanting evening of stories, performances, and fall fun! The night will feature family-friendly storytelling, spooky tales after dark, live entertainment, yard games, vendors, and delicious food trucks. Don’t miss a special live performance of Active Pages by the Davis Arts Council and a magical lineup of storytellers from the Utah Storytellers Guild.”
