The Ogden Eccles Dinosaur Park is open year-round, but for the last two weeks leading up to Halloween, they deck the park out in Halloween themes and offer trick-or-treating, train rides and carnival games.
The full Northern Utah calendar of events is on L4, but here are three local events you should check out this week:
1. Trick-or-Treat Streets
Downtown Ogden, Oct. 31, 4-8 p.m.
Businesses downtown invite everyone to come enjoy an afternoon of fun on Halloween. The event social media post says: “The Ogden Downtown Alliance is thrilled to host Trick-Or-Treat Streets again this year! This family-friendly Halloween celebration invited the whole community to explore downtown Ogden, enjoy festive storefronts, and collect treats from local businesses. On Halloween night from 4-8 p.m., stroll downtown and visit participating businesses to pick up candy, coupons, or other Halloween goodies! Participating businesses will have a candy corn-shaped poster in their window.”

2. 2025 Howloween Half Marathon and 5k
Farmington Regional Park, Farmington, Oct. 25, 8 a.m.
Combine the festiveness of the Halloween season with a chance to push yourself physically and that Howlowee Half Marathon in Farmington. The event website says: “Spend a day in Farmington by racing in the morning, shopping at Station Park, and heading over to Lagoon for Frightmares! Enjoy a pancake breakfast and be sure to wear a costume for the $250 cash prize for best costume!”

3. Dinos in the Dark
Ogden Dinosaur Park and Museum, Ogden, Oct. 25, 6-9 p.m.
Get some scary vibes by heading over to the Ogden Dinosaur Park and Museum for the classic Dinos in the Dark experience. The park’s website says, “Get ready for a spine-chilling adventure filled with eerie surprises and mysterious creatures! Dinos in the dark is a timed ticketing Halloween event where guests of all ages will embark on a night of thrills, featuring Trick or Treating, Bigfoot and Cryptids and Haunted Paths.”
