Odyssey Dance Theatre presents two performances of "Thriller" on Wednesday, Sept. 25, at Peery's Egyptian Theater in Ogden.

The full Northern Utah calendar of events is on L4, but here are three local events you should check out this week:

1. Northern Utah Trailfest

North Fork Park, Eden, Oct. 3-5, 4 p.m.

From the Northern Utah Trailfest event website: “The Northern Utah Trailfest started in 2022 as a fall celebration for all trail users! It’s a festival for outdoor enthusiasts and anyone who enjoys adventure and recreation. Runners, hikers, mountain bikers — all will enjoy the challenge of the NUT Trail Run and Mountain Bike Race as they compete to complete the most course laps in the timed 3, 6 or 9* hours loops. (*The 9-hour event is for the trail run only) In 2024, the duo option was introduced for both 6-hour races, allowing participants to team up and tackle the challenge together!”

For more information, go to northernutahtrailfest.com.

2. Wasatch Yoga Fest

The Monarch Ogden, Sept. 28, 10 a.m.-7 p.m..

If hitting the trails isn’t your favorite activity, maybe a festival focused on body movement and inner peace is what you are looking for. The Wasatch Yoga Fest is here to provide plenty of opportunities. The event website says, “We have an incredible lineup of diverse teachers from more locations than Northern Utah, including California, Montana, and Southern Utah! We’re so excited to open this experience up to everyone and can’t wait to flow, breathe, and celebrate together. Thank you for being part of this wonderful community … We’ll see you at the Wasatch Yoga Fest!”

3. Odyssey Dance Company’s Thriller

Kenley Amphitheater, Layton, Sept. 27

Getting to the Odyssey Dance Company’s production of Thriller might not be easy. It’s a great show, though, so it will be worth it. The company’s website says: “If Odyssey Dance Theatre’s Thriller isn’t part of your yearly Halloween tradition, it should be. The spooky spectacular combines technical aspects of dance while paying homage to the stars of All Hallows’ Eve. Throughout the two-hour program, Thriller highlights all the heroes of the season, including Frankenstein’s monster and his bride, skeletons and mummies.”
