The full Northern Utah calendar of events is on L4, but here are three local events you should check out this week:

1. Hostler Model Railroad Festival

Ogden Union Station, March 6-8, 3-8 p.m.

Indulge in your love of trains at the annual model railroad festival located in downtown Ogden. The festival Facebook page says: “Join The Hostler Model Railroad Club on March 6, 7, and 8 for our 36th annual Hostler Model Railroad Festival! Along with multiple operating model railroad displays on both floors of the station, the festival also features railroad videos, photo contests, model contests, full-size railroad displays, entry to the Union Station museums, and new and used model railroad equipment! All festival attractions and museum attractions are included in the price of a ticket.”

2. Great Salt Lake is Wonder-Full

Antelope Island State Park, Syracuse, March 7, 1 p.m.

The preservation of the Great Salt Lake is at the center of many discussions right now, which makes now a great time to understand it better. There is no better way than to head out to Antelope Island State Park for this presentation. The park website says: “What comes to mind when you think of Great Salt Lake? Join us for a walk across Bridger Bay Beach while we discuss what makes her stinky, buggy and full of wonder.”

3. Dare to Dream Auditions

Brigham City Fine Arts Center, March 3-4, 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Give a child a chance to shine by auditioning to be a part of the production of Disney’s Dare to Dream Jr. in Brigham City. The fine arts center website says: “The Brigham City Fine Arts Center is thrilled to announce auditions for our upcoming production of Disney’s Dare to Dream Jr.. This 60-minute musical revue follows a group of trainees at a fictional Walt Disney Imagineering Studio as they explore the power of dreams to inspire, unite, and make anything possible. Featuring fan-favorites from The Princess and the Frog, Coco, Encanto, Frozen II, and more, this show is a delightful mix of contemporary hits and timeless Disney classics.”
