The full Northern Utah calendar of events is on L4, but here are three local events you should check out this week:

1. Sneddon Hof Germanfest

Ogden Eccles Conference Center, Ogden, Jan. 17, 11 a.m.-9 p.m. 

If you didn’t know already, Ogden has a sister city nearly halfway across the world in Hof, Germany. Thus it is fitting to honor the collaboration by hosting a great festival in mid-January. The event website says: “Celebrate the 40th anniversary of Hof Germanfest! Enjoy delicious German food, refreshing beer, 25+ unique vendors, and a Kinder Korner for the little ones. The festival features non-stop live music from Salzburger Echo, Hammserstein Band, Wasatch Alphorns, and more–all filling the dance floor with energy and tradition. Prost to 40 years!”

2. Jordan World Glow Circus

Golden Spike Event Center, Ogden, Jan. 23-25, 6:30 p.m.

The circus is coming back to Ogden, so get ready for a great show. The company’s website says, “Experience the excitement of the Jordan World Glow Circus! This high-energy show features dazzling aerialists, thrilling acrobatics, jaw-dropping stunts, and classic circus acts that deliver nonstop fun for all ages. Bring the whole family and enjoy the fun!”

3. Chamber Orchestra Ogden’s Red Dress Concert 2026

Peery’s Egyptian Theater, Ogden, Jan. 24, 7:30 p.m.

Concerts are always strive to provide beautiful musical performances, but this annual event also celebrates American Heart Month. The venue website says, “Featuring orchestra musicians Nicole Marriott Fullmer, oboe, and Alexander Willey, string bass. We have chosen a program of famous Tone Poems/Symphonic Poems for this concert. Sibelius’ Finlandia, Opus 26, No. 7, Smetana’s Moldau from his epic Ma Vlast, and one of our conductor’s favorites, Franz Liszt’s Le Preludes.”
