The full Northern Utah calendar of events is on L4, but here are three local events you should check out this week:

1. Superb Owl Saturday II

Weber County Library Southwest Branch, Roy, Feb. 7, 3-5 p.m.

The Weber County Library system had fun with a play on words as they highlighted their owl event in Roy, changing the lettering from Super Bowl to Superb Owl. The library website says: “Super Bowl Sunday? Try Superb Owl Saturday! Superb Owl Saturday returns with an afternoon of owl related activities, fascinating facts, and a presentation by the Ogden Nature Center featuring live owls.”

2. Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work

Davis County Headquarters Library, Farmington, Feb. 3, 6-8 p.m.

Relationships are constantly growing and evolving, which is why every marriage might be able to use just a little nudge in the right direction. That’s what is happening in Farmington this week, with the Davis County Library website saying: “The Seven Principles Workshop for Couples is based on the internationally acclaimed research of Dr. John Gottman as presented in his New York Times bestselling book-The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work. This educational workshop is designed to help couples improve their friendship and conflict management skills. Please plan for both partners to attend all sessions. Pre-registration is highly encouraged.”
