1. Veteran Patriotic Walk
Ogden Municipal Garden, July 4, 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Northern Utah will celebrate Independence Day with a wide range of activities and fireworks shows (check city and community information for more details on local events) but consider taking time to celebrate the nation with those who have stood up to defend it. The event notice says: “Please join the American Legion Post 9 and proud Utah Veterans as we walk shoulder to shoulder with pride, wave our flags high and remind the world that the heart of America beats strong because of those who stood in her defense both home and abroad.”

2. Mountain Arts & Music Festival
Huntsville Square, Huntsville, July 4, 11 a.m.-dusk
Ogden Valley will host a day of music and art that provides opportunities to talented performers and creators from throughout the region. The organization website says: “MAM is invites both local and regional artists to the Valley for a one-day festival on July 4 to show, perform, and sell their work. The festival is held at Huntsville Square, a privately owned, lovely 1.5 acre grassy, shaded venue in the heart of Huntsville. Throughout the day, the festival will offer live music on the stage, art booths for the vendors and a community art display.”

3. North Ogden Cherry Days
North Ogden Park, June 27-July 4, all day
Cities throughout the area are celebrating their history and heritage with community events, including Riverdale, Plain City, West Haven, Pleasant View and many others. This week the spotlight is on North Ogden, which is having a car show, rodeo, sunrise service, luau, parade, market, concert and many other activities as part of North Ogden Cherry Days. The event website says: “Celebrate North Ogden Cherry Days with a variety of activities including a parade, car show, carnival, vendor booths, live entertainment and fireworks.”
