Northern Utah Living: 3 events to check out this week (March 21-29)

By Staff | Mar 21, 2026

The full Northern Utah calendar of events is on L4, but here are three local events you should check out this week:

1. Easter Egg Dive

465 N. Wasatch Dr., Layton, March 21, 9:30 a.m.-noon

Get to one of the first Easter events in the area to watch children of a variety of ages splash around in the pool and see how many eggs they can collect. The city website says: “Dive into the pool and collect colorful eggs! Different egg patterns mean different prizes — and if you’re lucky enough to find the gold egg, you’ll win a special gift basket!”

BENJAMIN ZACK/STANDARD-EXAMINER

Crowds of visitors gather around the Utah Lego Users Group display during the Hostlers Model Railroad Festival at Union Station on Saturday, March 7, 2015. The festival has grown to the point where it fills multiple halls, museum spaces and hallways on two floors of Union Station.

For more information, go to laytoncityutah.gov.

2. Brick Masters of Brigham City

BC Fine Arts Center, March 28, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

It’s crazy to see what those classic LEGO blocks that have been loved by so many can turn into when imagination and determination combine. Enjoy the journey of wonder at the showcase in Brigham City. The museum website says, “This all day Brick Building Bonanza is quickly becoming a family favorite. We fill the building upstairs and down with Brick Building Displays and interactive activities, like a free build room, where kids young and old can practice their best Brick Master Skills.”

Trading cards have experienced a resurgence in recent years. If you are looking for a card or memorabilia, you’ll probably want to be in Ogden at the Cardboard Exchange Mega Expo. The event website says: “Join us for a full day of cards, collectibles, and fan-favorite treasures! Whether you’re hunting for Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Lorcana, or Magic: The Gathering, searching for sports cards and memorabilia, or just love browsing plushies, Funko Pops, comic books, and action figures, this show has something for everyone. Our hobby vendors will be buying, selling, and trading all kinds of collectibles, and many will be doing giveaways throughout the day–so you never know what you might take home! Whether you’re here to trade, shop, or just explore, this is the ultimate gathering for collectors and fans alike.”
