OGDEN — Elim Lutheran Church is starting a six-week sermon series titled, “Jesus and the Psalms.”

The series kicks off at 10 a.m. Sunday, June 11, at the Ogden church, which is located at 575 23rd St.

Pastor Bruce Kolasch will be conducting the sermons and has invited the public to attend.

Kolasch will use the Lutheran Church’s Narrative Lectionary for the series, as the text follows stories of the Bible. The series will draw from different types of Psalms and connect them with Jesus’ incarnation — God being among people in human flesh, he said.

The series will start with Psalm 100. Others will include Psalm 13, Psalm 23, Psalm 30 and Psalm 150. 

Also discussed will be the Gospel of John and how it relates to the Psalms discussed, Kolasch said.
