73rd anniversary of Griffin Memorial Church to be celebrated May 26

OGDEN — Griffin Memorial Church of God in Christ is celebrating its 73rd anniversary next Sunday.
The anniversary celebration will take place at 3:30 p.m. May 26 at the church on 2424 E Ave. in Ogden. The celebration is open to the public.
Prior to the anniversary, the church will host a revival meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 23, and Friday, May 24.
The Rev. Joseph C. Edwards Sr. of Edwards Temple Memorial Church of God in Christ in Tacoma, Washington, will speak at the revival. Edwards has been “instrumental in the growth of the ministry while positively influencing the lives of residents in the Tacoma Community,” according a press release from the church.
“His sermons are never lacking in truth nor accountability, but embody virtues in how to lead a better life. His sermons our an experience like no other … griping, engaging and have proven to be life changing,” the release said.
