Recipe: Easy Beer Bread

This recipe comes from the JLO Art of Cooking Junior League of Ogden Cookbook. 

Ingredients:

1/4-1/2 cup butter, melted

3 cups self-rising flour

2 tablespoons sugar

12-ounce can beer

Instructions:

Pour enough melted butter into a 9-by-5-inch pan to coat the bottom.

In a bowl, mix remaining ingredients together. Spoon dough into loaf pan. Pour remaining butter on top.

Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes until bread is light gold in color.

Let stand 15 minutes before cutting. Serve warm. Yield: one loaf.
