It’s finally warming up in Northern Utah, and that means it’s time to get outside and soak up the sun — and that includes when you’re dining out.
Don’t waste a perfect opportunity to enjoy the warm breeze, eat some delicious food and take in the gorgeous views.
In no particular order, here are some local restaurants with outdoor dining spaces that you’re going to want to try this summer.

Hours: 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday; closed Sundays
Outdoor Dining: Both the Layton and Kaysville locations offer uncovered patio seating, and the Ogden location offers a large area covered by a wooden trellis. These options compliment Kneaders’ casual atmosphere, where you can enjoy your salads and sandwiches in the warmth of the sun or shaded by an umbrella.

Outdoor Dining: The pizzeria has a large area for covered, open-air dining with TVs in place and a fire pit in the center of the tables to keep the patio warm on chilly nights.

Outdoor Dining: Considering the limited amount of seating available inside the Ogden location of Lucky Slice Pizza, the outdoor dining is a great option. The seating is shaded by umbrellas and relatively protected by the building from the commotion of the street to make for a quiet, casual meal in the heart of the city.

Outdoor Dining: Also located in the center of Ogden’s downtown, The Bickering Sisters offers outdoor seating in a secluded courtyard behind the restaurant. The string lights, surrounding brick and trees make for a cute, atmospheric place to enjoy the fresh air while also enjoying some great food.

Outdoor Dining: Enclosed by a fence of plants and clad with string lights overhead, Even Stevens’ outdoor seating is casual enough for a relaxed breakfast or lunch, but also charming enough for a low-key dinner date.

Outdoor Dining: New Sun is a restaurant relatively new to Ogden that serves a variety of Asian dishes, which can be enjoyed inside the restaurant as well as outside in an area covered to shade from the sun.

Outdoor Dining: Covered by shady trees and umbrellas, Slackwater’s patio runs along the bank of the Ogden River so you can enjoy the relaxing sound of running water while you enjoy a slice or two (or three) of pizza.

Outdoor Dining: No matter where you sit outside Mad Moose Cafe in Eden, you’ll have gorgeous views of green fields and the mountains.

Hours: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday; 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday; 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday; closed Monday
Outdoor Dining: If you’re looking for dinner and some entertainment, Taggart’s patio is the place to go. The restaurant is nestled into the side of a mountain to provide some beautiful views. Oh, and did we mention a peacock often wonders around outside the fenced-in patio?

Hours: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday; 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday; closed Tuesday
Outdoor Dining: The Oaks is another perfect choice if you love being near the water. The patio is right up against the mountainside, with the Ogden River running below.

Outdoor Dining: It doesn’t matter which Roosters location you choose, both have outdoor dining. The Ogden location’s patio is nestled on 25th Street, where you can be surrounded by all the downtown action. The Layton location has a handful of umbrella-covered tables outside to enjoy the fresh air.

Outdoor Dining: Surrounded by an old stone wall, the patio at Bella’s Fresh Mexican Grill is filled with gorgeous flowers and plants during the spring and summer.

Outdoor Dining: Enjoy some delicious Mexican food on Sonora Grill’s patio, located right next to the Junction’s plaza, where you can often listen to live music or people watch.

Outdoor Dining: Whether you want to enjoy a full meal or just relax, Rovali’s patio has plenty of seating, live music on the weekends and a fire pit to keep you warm when the sun goes down.
