Spring Beer Fest returns to downtown Ogden

By Standard-Examiner Staff - | Mar 21, 2019

OGDEN — The Spring Beer Fest is back.

The event offers the opportunity to sip and savor some of Northern Utah’s best craft beers and local bites. The festival will be held from 5-9 p.m. Saturday in Ogden’s Union Station, 2501 Wall Ave.

This year, sample beers are available from Roosters Brewing Company, Mountain West Hard Cider, Kiitos Brewing, Talisman Brewing Company, Red Rock Brewing, Uinta Brewing, Salt Fire Brewing Company, New World Distillery, Cerveza Zolupez Beer Company, Proper Brewing Company, Toasted Barrel Brewing, and Epic Brewing Company.

Sample bites will be offered by Wimpy and Fritz, The Happy Hog, Lucky Slice, and Daily Rise Coffee.

Music will be provided by DJ Bryson Dearden.

The event is hosted by the Ogden Downtown Alliance. Organizers say the festival is part of a larger effort to celebrate and restore Ogden’s Union Station.

In a news release, special events coordinator Jessica McCowin said her organization is excited to bring the Spring Beer Fest back for a second year.

“The craft beer scene in Northern Utah is growing and it’s a great way to celebrate that by getting everyone together and encouraging our community to come out and sample their hard work,” McCowin said.

Admission is $20, and includes three sample pour tokens, a $5 meal voucher, and a souvenir sampling glass. Additional sample pour tokens will be available for $1.

A $10 designated-driver ticket will include a $5 meal voucher.
