OGDEN — Farmers Market Ogden‘s cold weather installment, Winter Market, begins on Saturday and is scheduled to run each Saturday through Feb. 25.

It’ll be held at Union Station, 2501 Wall Ave., running from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each Saturday it operates.

“From fresh-baked bread to honey and butter, Winter Market has accepted more than 40 vendors this year, bringing variety and a larger selection of local goods to Downtown Ogden,” Ogden Downtown Alliance said in a statement. “Of the selected vendors, 50% are fresh produce or packaged food, 36% are artisans and 14% are food trucks or prepared food.”

Food, though, isn’t the only thing. Artisan goods, live music and community yoga will also be among the activities at Union Station.

Chad Midgley, owner of Chad’s Produce in Syracuse, is among the vendors. He’s eager to take part, he said, “because I saw how many people last year were wanting access to fresh winter produce.” In addition to land in Syracuse and Bountiful, Midgley also grows in greenhouses and inside a home.
